Credits and licences

WikiCardz exists thanks to the people who write Wikipedia and share their photos on Wikimedia Commons. Every card is a page of the English Wikipedia.

Texts

The name and the short text on each card come from the English Wikipedia and are shared under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence, by Wikipedia's contributors. The texts are shortened for the card. Each card links to its article, where the full text and its history of authors can be read.

Images

Card pictures are the images of the Wikipedia articles, hosted by Wikimedia. Each one has its own author and licence (for example Creative Commons, public domain, or a limited use allowed by law). Open a card in your collection to see its image's author and licence, with a link to the image's file page on Wikimedia. Pages without a usable picture get an illustration made by the game.

If you are the author of an image and want it credited differently or removed from the game, write to us: we'll do it quickly.
